Art Show in Ireland

This summer Vincent will present a new series of paintings depicting scenes of Irelands Blasket Islands. The Blaskets are the formerly inhabited islands off the coast of County Kerry in Southwest Ireland. Life on the Great Blasket Island has been well-documented in the many great memoirs written by the Islanders. One of the most beloved of these books, Twenty Years A-Growing by Maurice O'Sullivan, contains rich visual descriptions which inspired Vincent to explore the islands as his artistic subject. Vincent has made three trips to the Great Blasket Island and has completed nearly 50 paintings, focusing on the landscapes, seascapes, and animal life of the Islands. His exhibit will take place in Ireland.
